At Abacus, we recognise the importance of giving back to the communities in which we work and live, which is why we are proud to partake in a range of philanthropic efforts which include charitable giving as well as employee involvement and support.

Abacus’ Corporate Responsibility Strategy is to support local health care, children’s welfare and cancer charities which help and improve the quality of life of people living in our local communities. We are committed to supporting local charities in the Isle of Man and Malta with the aim of helping them raise awareness and giving them the tools to build a brighter future.

The Abacus Corporate Responsibility Committee (‘Abacus CRC’), made up of a group of volunteer employees, is responsible for the implementation of our corporate responsibility strategy – it organises fundraising activities and coordinates donations whilst also supporting and assisting individual staff members in their own charitable activities.

Any charitable donations are currently funded by staff contributions. We are proud of the benevolence, generosity and commitment we witness from our employees during our fundraising initiatives, so much so that we match any funds raised on a £ for £ basis.
