Alex joined Abacus in July 2005 as Client Director and is responsible for two teams which administer a variety of bespoke fiduciary structures.
Alex is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds the Society’s Diploma in International Trust Management.
He has worked for Coutts (formerly Natwest International Trust Corporation) since his move to the Isle of Man from Scotland in July 1990.
He has held various positions and worked in several areas of the Bank during his fifteen years with Coutts, this has included the preparation and completion of Manx and UK personal Tax returns, setting up and managing the Investment Administration Team, setting up and managing the Groups’ offshore booking centre, which included Bank deposit, Credit, Investment and Fiduciary services.
