Chris Talavera FCA - Chairman
Chris was appointed to position of Chairman of Abacus Holdings Limited in 2005, having previously been a director of the company from 1984 to 1999.
Chris is a Fellow of the English Institute of Chartered Accountants and spent most of his career in the auditing profession. He was partner in charge of Auditing in Coopers & Lybrand from the mid 1980's until that firms merger with Price Waterhouse in 1998. Following the merger of the two firms, Chris became senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Isle of Man until his retirement from the firm in 2003. During his period with C&L and PwC his area of audit specialisation was Insurance and Banking. He was also a licensed UK Insolvency practitioner specialising in Receiverships and Administrations and is a previous Chairman of the Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants.
