InvestHedge Forum 2009
Paul Kneen attended the InvestHedge Forum 2009 held in conjunction with EuroHedge on 15-16 September. The forum was held at the British Museum in London attracting 450 delegates including institutional investors, fund of hedge funds, hedge fund managers and industry service providers.
The conference focused on how investor’s requirements are driving the hedge fund industry and the wider asset management world.
Guest speakers included Rick Sopher, chairman of LCH Investments and managing director of LCF Edmond de Rothschild and Gerlof de Vrij of APG Asset Management, the largest pension fund in Europe. George Robinson, who co-founded Sloane Robinson presented the keynote address.
Post Madoff the role of independent third part administrators and valuation agents was highlighted in the hedge fund industry.
