Martin joined Abacus in October 1997 initially taking on responsibility for the groups Treasury and payment functions. In 2008 Martin took on additional responsibilities in respect of Shareholder Servicing and Fund Accounting functions within the organisation.
Martin is Manx born and holds the ICSA Diploma in Offshore Business, Finance and Administration (DOFA) and is now studying for the Securities Institute qualifications.
Prior to joining Abacus Martin worked for Barclays Bank Plc on the Island for 9 years in both the personal and corporate sectors. For the last 3 years with Barclays Martin was primarily involved with the offshore corporate market in a treasury and compliance role.
