Mike joined Abacus in July 2005 to take up the position of Managing Director of Abacus Trust Company Limited.
Originating from Canada, Mike has extensive private banking experience and a strong background in global sales and strategic development.
Previous roles include Managing Director of Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Trust Company Limited, Singer and Friedlander Group Sales and Marketing Director, Regional Managing Director of Ansbacher Caribbean Limited, and main Board Director of Ansbacher Holdings in the UK with overall responsibility for the Group's business development.
Prior to joining Ansbacher, Mike spent 23 years with the Royal Bank of Canada where he held a number of senior positions as an executive officer, both in Toronto and the Far East , including Regional Head of RBC Investments, HongKong and Vice President and Regional Head of Global Private Banking for RBC Asia, based in Singapore.
Mike graduated from Richard Ivey School of Business University in Ontario, Canada with a Masters of Business Administration, and also holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts (History) from McMaster University Hamilton, Ontario, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
