Emer is a Client Director with almost 20 years in the trust business. Her broad experience ranges from the administration of trusts and special purpose companies for wealthy individuals, employee share trusts and remuneration planning, yacht administration and Isle of Man partnerships.

Emer is a Chartered Secretary and was admitted as a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators in 1991. She undertook the majority of her studies in Portobello College in Dublin and completed her qualification shortly after arriving on the Isle of Man in 1989.

Emer joined Coopers & Lybrand (which Abacus was part of) in November 1990 as an administrator where she concentrated initially on the statutory administration of Isle of Man companies before moving into the trust department.
