Private Trustee Companies

Private Trustee Companies (PTCs) are privately incorporated companies established to act as trustee for one or more connected family trusts. Typically, the PTC is owned by a Purpose Trust. The PTC would usually engage an institutional trustee (e.g. Abacus) to act as day-to-day trust administrator. PTCs thereby provide professional trust administration, while allowing the client to oversee the trustee, and change the administrator as needed. The Isle of Man has flexible rules for the establishment of PTCs, and is therefore an attractive jurisdiction to consider.
